Reclaiming his hand, Jenner felt the skin almost tingling where David had touched it, like he had the ability to set the molecules in your skin vibrating and knocking around with excitement.

Jenner’s mind went blank. His tongue felt thick and clumsy in his mouth and he glanced down with embarrassment at his own less impressive shirt and slacks. If the other guys on his team could have seen him then, they would have laughed their asses off. He’d never felt so out of his element, but he knew he needed to catch up, fast.

“Back to my original question,” David said, his voice low, his tone making it feel like this was a private conversation, just between them. Somehow, he was paying even closer attention to Jenner, and the rest of the room, the rest of the entire mansion, faded back. All that mattered was keeping David’s attention, and doing anything that might impress him. If Jenner could impress David, he’d have it made. “What I’d meant to say was… what in particular brings you here tonight, Mr. Parrish? I make sure to know who my guests are. It’s only polite, don’t you think? But, with someone as… intriguing and attractive as you, I knew I had to come and introduce myself. I know more than your name, you know. I already know exactly what I want from you. What I don’t know is what it is you’re looking for. The reason you’ve sought us out.”

There were discreetly dressed security guys flanking both entrances to the room, keeping an eye on them and everyone else nearby. Jenner didn’t know how he hadn’t noticed them earlier. They must have arrived with David because they hadn’t been there before. The pressure mounted even higher, the thrill of what was happening even bigger but Jenner kept tripping over his attempts to reply, stammering, “I, uh… um…”

He couldn’t tell the truth, which was that he was hard up. It was too pathetic.

“Are you looking to meet someone?” David guessed. His voice was hushed but, other than the guards, no one else nearby was paying them much attention. “Looking for a boyfriend, maybe? Or just a blowjob? Something… dirtier?”

Jenner’s blood pressure shot through the roof, his heart pounding, his skin too tight. Suddenly overheated, he felt constricted by his clothes and too aware of each and every part of his body. It was like being thrown into a game where all of the rules had changed on him and he just had to scramble to figure things out play by play, move by move.

“I’m not sure. I don’t… Not a boyfriend, no. Just… company.”

More people were gathering in the room. Drawn to David, maybe? They kept their distance, but some of them began glancing their way. David raised his eyebrows at Jenner’s answer. “Conversation then? A game of pool or cards?”

“No,” Jenner laughed breathlessly, his skin too hot, his body too big and cumbersome. “Not exactly.”

“Then what exactly? Please. Tell me. It’s all right.” His lip caught between his teeth again, and Jenner stared at that, breathing a little harder. “I mean, I can’t help you get it if I don’t know what it is you’re after, can I?”

In other news, I’m 45k words into writing a new novel. It’s a Gay For You, MM, D/s Romance about a devilish painter and his unsuspecting, sweet, bi-curious muse. There’s a lot of heat and tenderness in this one and I’m having a blast writing it. I’ll also be on vacation out of the country starting this Sunday (taking the kids to Niagara Falls and hitting a few other places on the way back down home throughout the week). I’ll be back the following Saturday. After the loss of my youngest brother at the end of April, and being swamped with work since, it’ll be a desperately needed break and some quality time with hubby and the munchkins. Hi everyone,

I’ve been debating whether to speak publicly about this, but I’ve decided I’d rather you know why I’m stepping back from my writing duties for a week or two. There will be a delay in response time, so just bear with me.

This past Friday, the 24th, my youngest brother suffered a random slip and fall type injury in his apartment. It progressed from being only a bad bump on the head to, later, provoking a violent seizure which no one witnessed, to causing potentially severe brain damage and then, finally, to absolutely no hope of survival in only a handful of hours on Friday evening. The death certificate was formally issued on Sunday, but we knew almost right away that he was gone.

I’m sure you can imagine the shock we’re all dealing with right now. I’d like to ask that you all do me a personal favor today and hug everyone who will let you. Tell everyone you can what they mean to you. Our time on this earth is so damned short, so please don’t take it for granted. Celebrate each day as best you can. As much as it’s hurting us, we do see that it was my brother’s time to go. The signs were there, but in his passing he is giving the gift of life to others through organ donation, so PLEASE consider supporting those programs in your own ways. My brother will get to live on through so many others and it’s been a tremendous comfort to my family.

He was a sweet, selfless guy who always did for others and never did nearly enough for himself (much to my annoyance, honestly). If you’re the praying sort, I’d be grateful if you could say a prayer for him to ease him on his way to a better place.

My readers and colleagues in this wonderfully weird and gay corner of the romantic fiction world mean more to me than you can ever know. You have enriched my life, expanded my mind, filled my heart, and I have so much love for each and every one of you. I’d hug you all if I could.

I’m currently editing Double Heat (Twin Ties 3), which should be released in just a few months!

Twin Affairs has been banned by Amazon since its release. The Kindle format file is available for purchase through Fantastic Fiction Publishing (where it’s ON SALE!), All Romance Ebooks and Smashwords. I’ve also been informed the epub file from Barnes and Noble also works on Kindle.

As of this week, Cursed Blessings has been labeled as “adult material” on Amazon, which means it no longer shows up on my author page on Amazon AND it doesn’t show up if you search for it by title and by my author name. HOWEVER, it is still for sale on Amazon, but you can only access the page by direct link. This is the direct link. As with all of my books, it is also for sale through ALL major vendors.

I’m asked constantly when Twin Affairs will be released on Kindle format. It’s out, I promise. The only reason you can’t find it is because Amazon thinks they get to determine what you should be able to read. Buy links for all of my stories can always be found in the side column of the front page of my website.

If you’re a fan of books, creativity, self-expression and freedom of speech, I wholeheartedly, encourage you to NOT shop at Amazon and purchase your books direct from the publisher, or ANY other retailer. Their censorship policies are constantly expanding, severely restricting authors, publishers, cover artists, etc. Their censorship bots flag certain words, certain content, penalize and terrorize small, indie publishers. Their bots also have been cracking down on what can be shown in cover art, which is why Cursed Blessings got flagged as adult material and buried on their site. Amazon also keeps a majority of the profits from every single sale they make, with only a very small percentage leftover for the author, publisher, cover artist, editor, proofreader, etc. No other vendor does this. Because Amazon wants the monopoly over the book market, they offer modest “savings” to tempt customers, but those savings hurt the people working their asses off to produce quality products and threatening other vendors who offer similar services without the terrorizing and severe restrictions of freedom of speech and press. I know many people love to shop at Amazon because of how easy the one-click shopping is, but I promise you, there’s a huge unseen cost.

I write my books for ADULTS. I will never censor my content to appease a corporation who fancies themselves the morals and ethics police over grown adults fully capable of making choices for themselves. If you’d like to continue to see kinky, sexy, dirty, thrilling, boundary-pushing content in your books, please shop somewhere besides Amazon.

What I’m Writing:

(Untitled) – Paranormal/Fantasy, Hardcore BDSM, D/s – This story is about an M/M arranged marriage. I have the whole plot arc planned out in detail and 17,000 words written. It’s a kinky twist on various demands and conditions typically, historically placed upon women during marriages arranged by the betrothed couples’ parents. My short story, Cursed Blessings, was a dark, gritty look at a male pregnancy that transpired through paranormal means. Similarly, strongly in incorporating the paranormal element, this is my take on what happens when two young men are forced to participate in cultural rituals for the good of their families and their people, rather than out of love, and enter into a relationship with a distinct power dynamic, without prior knowledge of each other.

(Untitled) – M/M BDSM Romance – Genderqueer, bisexual exotic dancer, Kerry, is going through an identity crisis following his breakup with trans boyfriend, Jamie. Flirtations with one of the club’s security guards – Irish, gay-curious Dom, Ewyn – leads to more, allowing Kerry to explore his submissive side for the very first time. 30,000 words written.

Sequel to Arctic Absolution – As Dixon and Jaye struggle to settle into a normal relationship without the threat of Marcus to get in the way, they think that the past is finally firmly behind them. But when Jaye is sent a reminder that being initiated into a gang, and owing people favors, means he can’t pretend the past away, Dixon must protect Jaye in terrifying new ways. 7,000 words written.

Sacred Submission (working title) – M/M BDSM Contemporary Romance; Aiden is a young man who has recently dropped out of theological school following a spiritual and identity crisis. He’s seduced by Cary, his free-spirited, artist neighbor while trying to rediscover his identity, exploring new, darker paths to happiness and fulfillment through absolute submission, the wonder of human connections and learning to trust. 30,000 words written.

Our Sins (Deliver Us 4) – Because this story will tie together the multiple stories/series, including Deliver Us, Bound by Lies, and Loving the Master, it’s currently on hold until I have less on my plate and more ability to focus on writing. Also, because Trace, Gabe and Dare will be appearing the the 4th installment of the Don’t… series by Jack L. Pyke, and Our Sins takes place after that, I’m also waiting to see how they fare 🙂
