Release Information Coming

October 27, 2012
There’s a lot in the works! November should be a very exciting month. Release date information for the print version of Deliver Us will be announced shortly! The print version of Whatever the Cost is also in production. It looks like edits on From Temptation may be done! It’s on its way to the proofreader in preparation of a pre-holiday release. I’m also awaiting the first batch of edits for Bound By Lies.

Meanwhile, I’ve been writing Arctic Absolution and have begun work on a possible sequel to Whatever the Cost. I have a couple thousand words written and a detailed outline taking shape. Likewise, with Arctic Absolution I have roughly 40k words down and a thorough outline of the rest of the book in place. Very exciting stuff! I can’t wait to share it all with you!

Excerpt from Song of the Lonesome Cowboy

Here’s a taste of one of my current projects:

Audiences could tell when you were trying to bullshit them. The honesty and emotion were either there, in your heart, your voice, your performance, or they were not. It was always clear, to everyone, if a singer was feeling the song or not. You had to own it, wring it from your veins, bleed reality, splattering everyone with the gore of the core of your essence.

So I gave them the truth they sought. With every lyric, every verse, it was there, always. It was what got me fans, kept them waiting for more, buying album after album. If there was one thing I was any good at, it was telling it like it was.

Of course, that only applied to my music. Everything I couldn’t express in life, to friends and family—those closest to me—went to the public in the form of marketable product. In a very literal sense, I sold my soul. The pain, the hope, the love, the ache, the struggle—with carelessness it was cut from me by my own hand. Chopped into pieces, raw and pulsing, it was diced and rearranged by professionals, sifted through microphones to flow along wires and circuits.

I left it there and walked away.

I guess that made me a coward. There was no fight to keep it sacred. My heart was consumed by the masses and, at the end of the day, nothing was left.

When the filter of the music wasn’t there, I couldn’t look honesty in the eye. It slipped away, frightened by the fear.

When it really counted, I was a lying prick, just like everyone else.

Song of the Lonesome Cowboy is a M/M Romance by Lynn Kelling

Book #6!

September 18, 2012
I’ve just received the contract on my 6th novel, the sequel to My Brother, Myself! I’m also incredibly happy to report that the print versions of ALL of my published books – including Deliver Us and Whatever the Cost – are in production. Stay tuned for detailed information on when they will be available!

I have begun writing a novel, Song of the Lonesome Cowboy, which is a stand-alone spinoff of Whatever the Cost about the character Tucker. He’s a secretly kinky, closeted country singer involved in a complicated love triangle with members of his band. The plot is outlined in detail in my notebooks, I have tons of ideas and inspiration, and the first chapter is finished.

Update (September 20): One week after starting Song of the Lonesome Cowboy, I’m already 10k words deep with no end in sight. Having a fantastic time writing this one!

Status update for some current projects

A Cursed Blessing – This is a short story currently under contract and awaiting editorial review. It’s M/M and Mpreg. I wrote it as an experiment, to see if I could write about male pregnancy without it coming off as ridiculous. The result is a tale about a man so ashamed of his condition and his emotions that he would rather carve the baby from his body without any assistance than ask for help or forgiveness. You can find the summary here.

From Temptation – This sequel to Deliver Us is about the secret past and carefully concealed truths about the beautiful and manipulative professional submissive, Kyle Roth. It is very close to being ready for release.

Bound By Lies – This M/M, BDSM romance is awaiting edits. I’m at work on the sequel.

My Brother, Myself – A story of two sets of gay, male twins that become romantically entangled. This story currently consists of 2 volumes. Volume 1 is under contract with Forbidden Fiction. Volume 2 is being prepped for submission.

Book #5!

For most of the beginning of August I’ll be taking some much-needed time off with my family, exploring the wilderness of Pennsylvania and checking out some local festivals. I am happy to announce that I was able to finish and submit my fifth novel to Forbidden Fiction before beginning vacation. When I return, hopefully I will have much more good news to share.

My Brother, Myself (working title): Eighteen-year-old Evan Savage cherishes his secrets above all else, but when a stranger named Brennan with a face identical to Evan’s enters his life, claiming to be the twin brother he never knew, nothing is sacred any longer. Evan’s past, the foundations of his identity, the choices of his parents and the source of his desires are all called into question. An anonymous sexual encounter with a stranger is just the first step on a journey of self-discovery for both Evan and Brennan as they find in each other things they did not know they had lost. The sweetness of first love with an older set of twin brothers – Alek and Luka – lures them all, unwittingly, toward danger, taking the four young men down roads wrought with temptation, and the most forbidden desires. (content warnings for incest and polyamory)

This novel is the first in a series. The first draft of the second volume has also been completed and is being prepped for submission as well.

As always, feel free to send me an email to say hello and let me know what you’ve thought of my books. I absolutely love hearing from my readers and reply to every message!

New Version of Whatever the Cost; Both books now @ Barnes & Noble!

Whatever the Cost has received many wonderful, 5-star reviews on places like ARE and Amazon, but also some comments on a couple of errors. The book has been re-proofed and a corrected version has been re-issued. Readers who bought the previous version can easily re-download the better version at no additional cost. New readers will automatically get the corrected version.

I’m currently working on edits to the sequel to Deliver Us, now titled From Temptation. I can’t possibly express how proud I am of this book and can’t wait to share it with you. I will post a release date as soon as one is set.

Whatever the Cost was reviewed by The Novel Approach and got 4 stars! In response to the reviewer’s comments regarding some proofreading catches, WTC is currently back with the proofreader before it is released in print, and the ebook version will be upgraded.

I’m currently anticipating edits on Deliver Us From Temptation and writing my new novel, Healer (working title), about an immortal who saves a dying teenager at the edge of the world and subsequently falls dangerously in love with his youthful spirit.
